The Training and Placement Cell, has been on the fore in bringing about exciting job opportunities for all courses. It acts as a nodal point of contact for companies to identify the future workforce from Dr.URCW. The Placement Cell has been striving hard to get employment for students in reputed companies, during their final year of study;  this has resulted in students turning into employees right-out of their college life and smile in their parents’ face as their dreams come true.

Students make use of the many On-Campus and Off-Campus interview opportunities offered by various companies, and the Placement Cell facilitates students to choose various internship opportunities to aid their curriculum and Industry-Ready attitude.

The Training and Placement cell also provides career guidance and competitive exam guidance for the students. The cell also supports the students in Resume writing skills and Communication skills

A mega Job fair event was conducted at S. S. Matriculation School, Singampunari on 10.12.22.

Walk-in Drive was conducted at Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, Pasumalai, Madurai on 9^th Nov 2022. The job fair was for Banking and IT Jobs.

Karthick, HR of Blue Ocean Personnel & Allied Services Private Limited, Chennai conducted the interview for FOXCONN Technologies, SIPCOT, Sriperambadur, with group discussion as first level and face to face interview as second level.

Rajendran, Manager – HR Shivam Corporate Services, Chennai conducted the interview for YAZAKI India Limited, Maraimalainagar, with group discussion as first level and face to face interview as second level.

Rajesh Kumar HRs of Layam Flexi Solutions, Chennai conducted the interview for PEGATRON Technology Private Limited, Mahendra World City, Chengalpattu, with group discussion as first level and face to face interview as second level.

Placement Cell of Dr. Umayal Ramanathan College for Women organized the recruitment drive in the campus on 20^th April 2023. Mr. S. Rengarajan, Recruitment Coordinator, Delphi – TVS, Oragadam, conducted interview with written test.

The Training and Placement Cell of Dr. Umayal Ramanathan College for Women successfully organized a one-day training session on TNPSC group examinations. The event aimed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge required for the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) group examinations. The resource person for the session was Mr. Anbu Johnson from AR Technology.

The Training and Placement Cell of Dr. Umayal Ramanathan College for Women orchestrated a dynamic training program aimed at enhancing communication skills for the final year undergraduate and postgraduate students. The event took place on 2nd February 2024, and the esteemed resource person for the day was Mr. Arul Packiaraj Thainraj, a seasoned corporate trainer renowned for his expertise in communication skills development.

Career Guidance Book exhibition and Seminar was jointly organized by District Employment and Career Guidance Centre, Sivaganga and Dr. Umayal Ramanathan College for Women, Karaikudi. They have organized Book fair Exhibition and Career guidance Seminar on 4.01.2024 under the leadership of Mr. V. Mohana Chandran, District Revenue Officer, Sivaganga. In this event, District Employment Officer Mr.R.Maniganesh gave a welcome speech. Principal of the college Dr. Mrs. A. Hema Malini Ganesan delivered the Felicitation.

On February 24, 2024, Dr. Umayal Ramanathan College for Women’s Training and Placement Cell organized a campus placement drive with 15 participating companies. A total of 179 students attended the drive, resulting in 44 students receiving offer letters. Additionally, 114 students were shortlisted for further consideration by the participating companies.
