About the Research Cell
The Research Cell at Dr. Umayal Ramanathan College For Women is dedicated to promoting a vibrant culture of research and scholarly inquiry among faculty and students. Established to encourage original research, the cell coordinates research activities across all departments and provides guidance on publishing, funding opportunities, and collaboration.
The Research Cell organises seminars, workshops, and conferences to expose students and faculty to current research trends and methodologies. It also oversees the institution's research journal, providing a platform for disseminating original research contributions.
M.Phil Programs
URCW offers M.Phil research programs in select disciplines, enabling students to pursue advanced study and original research.
M.Phil Commerce
Advanced research program in commerce covering areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, banking, and business management.
M.Phil Computer Science
Research program in computer science exploring areas such as data mining, machine learning, networking, software engineering, and information security.
