Overview:
The Department of Commerce with Computer Applications started its journey from the year 2006 onwards and post graduate programme in 2011. Since. The Department has qualified faculty members to train nearly 180 students. Our faculty members are well qualified, dedicated and experienced and excel quality education and opportunities for all-round development of the students. “Excellence – It is not a skill but is an attitude”. The department envisages the life time value of the students by providing excellence in education in the field of both commerce and computer application. The Department provides placement facilities and trains the students for their excellent future career. Department has taken initiative to conduct various academic activities like National and International Seminars, Conferences, Exhibitions, Workshops, Webinars, Student Development Programmes and Career Awareness Programmes etc.,

On 18th August 2023, 106 students of our department of Commerce (CA) along with 5 faculty members visited Hatsun Agro Products at Palani.

Two days workshop on the topic “Emotional and Intelligence Quotient – The Bergy Bites of the Sea” between 24th and 25th August, 2023, for the other department students. There were 75 students were participated and benefited in the workshop.

The extension activity was undertaken by our students on 24.01.24 at Pallathur where more than 50 students of II year felt the need to provide a chance on the theme’WATER CONSERVATION AND FLOOD CONTROL MEASURES’ to make aware of their responsibilities towards the society.

Mr PA.Balan,Managing Director, Padmarajam Institute of Management,Madurai gave career Guidance Programme to our final year students on 01.02.2024.
